Typically, this newsletter gives you exciting and often unusual tips to succeed in your life and business. But for once, I want to spend some time tooting our own horn.
On June 1, our REIPrintMail division acquired REIVault. REIVault has been around since 2005 providing direct mail and “managed services” for the REI industry. They have helped hundreds of real estate investors successfully find and flip thousands of houses.
This whole deal happened very quickly. First, I got a call from the CEO of REIVault around the end of April. Gary commented, “when I decided to sell my company, the 1st person that came to mind was Jeff Charlton. His REIPrintMail division is very aligned to REIVault, and their growth over the last few years has been phenomenal.” The conversation quickly advanced, and 30 days later, we had a signed contract. The fact that we had already been doing all their mail in the background for the last few years and had a close working relationship made the marriage very easy.
I am proud to say that even without the REIVault deal, we have doubled our sales in the last year and are on track to gain another 30-40% in 2022. ALL of that growth comes from our successful innovation and approach to help REIs get more deals. The REIVault system will add to that success by giving us a full-service option for those clients who would like to add the power of a 40-person call lead follow-up team to their direct mail efforts.
I was recently interviewed on a local news station, and the question was asked, “What has been your secret to success for 30 years?” The answer was simple. We focus on dealing with our clients on a personal and human level. Yes, we use technology, but the personal relationships and service set us apart for almost every other competitor. We genuinely do care about helping our clients succeed.
They say success breeds more success, which is also true in this case. Our growth has provided us with reams of data which helps us to give better advice to our clients on what worked and what doesn’t in their area. The more we mail, the more data we have and the better advice we can give. To that end, we mailed over 14,000,000 pieces of mail last year, and our new REIVault division mailed about 11,000,000 themselves. The combined total was over 25,000,000 pieces of mail last year! We expect to add another 5-10MM to that total in the next 12 months.
